STOCKPILE(S) collects our decisions, feelings, experiences and ideas and translates them into playful anthropomorphized shapes ranging from small sculptures to large scale paintings. Lauren’s use of layering, texture, color, canvas & wood creates a vibrant and contemplative alternate reality that amuse, unsettle, and transform the viewer.

Lauren Rapp is a DC based artist currently focused on painting, sculpture and furniture design. Her work has been featured on the cover of the Washington Post Magazine and she was awarded the Windsor Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund Grant. She’s recently completed a MFA from the University of Windsor in Canada and has returned to DC where she works as an artist and designer.
