Then join us for the reception at 4 p.m. in Lost Origins Gallery for an awards ceremony, food, drinks and programing located a few blocks down at 3110 Mt. Pleasant St. NW, 2nd Floor Washington, DC 20010.
Lost Origins & the Women Photojournalists of Washington are proud to announce the opening of their 18th Annual Photography & Multimedia Exhibition. Since 2008, this exhibition has showcased compelling visual storytelling from WPOW members, showcasing excellence in photography and multimedia for both professionals and students.
This year’s Best in Show – Professional is awarded to Ana Elisa Sotelo for her image capturing a groom guiding a horse into the sea in Barbados & Best in Show – Student is awarded to Karsyn Meyerson for her image capturing friends at a shooting range in Virginia. The Multimedia Award goes to Gabriela Passos for her project investigating the U.S. housing crisis through the often-invisible labor of undocumented immigrants in the construction industry.
A Special Recognition Award will be presented to Anna Moneymaker for her historic photograph capturing the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump.
