T.J. will be displaying a video installation indoors at the Lost Origins gallery, to accompany his exhibit Escape: Discovering Shared Space in Rock Creek Park. The projection is composed of meditative moments from late in the COVID summer of 2020. You’re invited to linger in a familiar space, almost a memory, with a breeze rustling the leaves and the light changing with a passing cloud. Come find your breath as time becomes measured by the shifting shadows. At 4pm, a talk with the artist will explore his time photographing the park during COVID, reflections on the park’s prominence during the pandemic, and an urgent reminder to slow down as modern life resumes its frenetic pace.
