Join Lost Origins Gallery Sat Oct 8, 7-10pm, for the opening of Through the ‘Eyes of History’®: Celebrating The White House News Photographers Association 100th Anniversary

Lost Origins is beyond excited to host such a historic event! They’ll have White House Inspired Cocktails, Ice Cream specials by Mount Desert Island Ice Cream, Legendary Photography, & a limited edition silkscreened poster by DC’s finest, Jeffery Everette!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the White House News Photographers Association (WHNPA) spent some of their rare free time sorting through uncatalogued and undigitized images that were taken by WHNPA members over the last 100 years. Thousands of negatives, original prints from previous years’ ‘Eyes of History®’ still photography and video contests, newsreel tapes, award books, newsletters, and scrapbooks were identified and organized.

Drawing from that wealth of material, a team of photographers and photo editor members selected 50 of the most compelling, indelible, or seldom seen images captured by our members over the last 10 decades to be featured in this exhibition.

Lost Origins Gallery is located at 3110 Mt Pleasant St NW, 2nd floor.
